There is so much value in author and illustrator visits. Kids engage with the authors, and a good visit encourages creativity and helps launch a forever love of writing.

Some students may not be author bound and may instead have a love of art. During our visit, kids can also learn about careers in illustration! My talented illustrator @jociesalveson and I often do visits together. We discuss the making of a book and demonstrate how we work together as partners.

We are available both in person and by Zoom. Please contact me if your school or homeschool is interested in a visit. We would love to engage and activate your kids and students' love for learning.

Author visit includes coloring pages and worksheets sent to the school in advance. We come up with a plan for our visit that aligns with your school (or homeschool) goals. From a book chapter reading followed by Q & A to an art project with themes found in the book, to a 5-step "how to make a book" which includes a fully engaged demonstration. Or, you can request both author and Illustrator for a complete experience that includes a personalized illustration able to be used for your school writing project!
