I am excited to connect with my readers. Fellow authors, parents, teachers, and librarians are my community. Together, we bring words to curious young minds. I enjoy sharing stories with children and am passionate about bringing forth education in creative writing. Contact me about school visits.  

My Life's Journey:

In my life, I have ventured many paths. My first "tax-paying" job was at age fifteen, where I worked gutting fish at an amusement park called Frontier Village in San Jose, California. In high school, junior year, I moved to Arizona and attended a tech school for my nursing license. Years later, I returned to college, continued my education, including general studies, and obtained my Paramedic. This led me on my next adventure, working both in the Emergency Room and on an ambulance.

I became a lifelong student. Though writing always nibbled at my imagination, I wrote privately as a hobby and took classes in children's literature. I also used my writing skills for marketing. There was a time when we owned an indoor paintball field, and currently, I am the marketing manager for AZ Active Recovery. As I said, I have explored many paths.

I am the mother of two children, Ryan and Samantha (Sam). My son, Ryan, gifted me with 13 beautiful years before he passed away. Ryan lived life as a multiply disabled child, and besides teaching me how to love someone so completely, he taught me many other lessons. One is that most people are good and kind and accepting, especially kids who are allowed to ask questions and are taught to accept others for who they are. And that wheelchair accessibility is a gift.

My daughter went out in the world, attended college, med school, joined the military, and remains a dedicated and giving young woman. Every day, she makes me proud. She married and gifted me my son-in-law, Brendan. I am now a grandma to two precious grandsons!  I am a proud Auntie to seven who added on three, and I have a beautiful mentee who has been in my life since she was fourteen. And... Lucky me, I am married to my handsome husband, Chris, my best friend.
